Well, er, you may have noticed that we had a note in our last post about looking up Leona Helmsley before we published.  Oops.  The intrepid publisher missed the lookup and the deletion.

OK, yes, the Lotte New York Palace was the hotel owned by Harry Helmsley and run by the Queen of Mean, Leona.  It was originally the Villard Mansion which was six luxury townhouses built around a courtyard and directly opposite St. Patrick's Cathedral.  In 1974 Helmsley built a 55-story addition and voila!  Instant hotel!
